Welcoming New Patients today

Read More Next

We believe in transparency and value. Our new patient appointments are designed to give you a comprehensive understanding of your oral health, with no pressure, and plenty of time to ask questions. Our adult new patient exam is only £74.

Your first appointment includes:

  • Screening radiographs: This allow us to reveal any hidden dental problems, review past dental work and forms a foundation for your treatment plan.
  • OPG radiograph (if clinically required): This gives us a panoramic view, and offers more diagnostic value for problem areas.
  • Itero digital scan: A non-invasive, radiation-free way to capture a highly detailed 3D image of your teeth, gums, and bite. We use this as part of a comprehensive initial assessment, especially when planning cosmetic, restorative, or orthodontic treatments.
  • Oral cancer screening: This is a non-invasive, quick, and painless process, typically taking just a few minutes.
  • Periodontal health screening: Assesses the health of the gums and supporting structures of the teeth.

“The team here are incredibly helpful and kind. From the receptionist who always greets you with a smile and a chat to the dentists. I always feel cared for” (August 2025)

Good dental hygiene is the first line of defence against tooth decay and dental problems. Dental hygiene and dental therapy can help you maintain good oral health, limiting the need for invasive dental treatment and allowing you to enjoy a healthy smile for longer.

Hygienist services we provide:

  • Hygienist services are essential for maintaining excellent oral health. Our professionals specialise in preventive dental care, providing thorough cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene, and assessing individual dental needs.
  • We go beyond just teeth cleaning. We focus on full mouth and oral health improvement, improving gum and tooth health and oral checks.
  • Our Hygienist Chris and the team do this in a very caring way. Some people can be worried visiting the Hygienist, especially if you have not been for some time. We will put you at ease during your appointment and ensure you are involved in every step.

Service list

  • Dental Cleanings: Scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar, which helps prevent gum disease and cavities.
  • Airflow EMS therapy: A hygiene treatment that removes persistent stains on your teeth, plaque and discolouration using a combination of water, compressed air and fine powder particles.
  • Gum disease treatment: Providing treatment and advice for gum problems, including gingivitis and periodontitis.

Why should you visit the dental hygienist?

Your local dental hygiene practice can help you maintain optimal oral health whatever your age and previous dental experience. Dental hygienists work in collaboration with dentists and other members of the dental team, providing patients with comprehensive dental care. They can carry out dental cleaning to remove plaque and tartar build-up, helping to reduce the risk of tooth decay and gum disease.

Dental hygienists are experts in preventative dental care helping to reduce the need for more complex procedures. A private hygienist appointment can provide you with valuable guidance on proper oral hygiene practices. A dental hygienist can also screen for more serious conditions such as oral cancer, allowing for early diagnosis and treatment.

How often should you see a dental hygienist?

For most people, a visit to the dental hygienist to help ensure fresh breath from routine cleaning once every three months is advised. Some people with more specific or complex oral and dental care needs may require more frequent visits for a hygienist deep clean and other treatments.

When you visit the dentist for the first time as a new patient they will draw up a treatment plan that advises on the recommended frequency of hygienist visits.

What treatments do dental hygienists give?

Dental hygienists provide a range of preventive and therapeutic dental and oral health treatments. As well as deep dental cleans, they may also carry out oral cancer screenings, sealant application and X-rays. They also provide personalised advice on oral and dental hygiene to match the patient’s particular needs, as well as advice on oral hygiene practices and recommendations on brushing techniques, flossing and other cleaning methods.

Do dental hygienists work with dentists?

Your dentist and dental hygienist work in collaboration as part of the dental healthcare team. While your hygienists can perform a number of dental and oral procedures independently, they work closely with dentists to provide comprehensive dental care to patients. Dental hygienists specialise in preventive care, helping to reduce the need for further dental treatment.
